When you apply for citizenship as a citizen in the United States there are many reasons you have to get a job if you want to be approved. These reasons include contributing to the economy, being productive, making money honestly, and more.
The government wants to approve you to become a citizen so you can enjoy the freedoms everyone else experiences in the states. However, not just everyone can become a citizen because they want people who are responsible and who are accountable for themselves.
You must have a good working job so you can contribute to the economy. You can hold any type of job you want to but you must be a positive citizen to where it is you decide to hold residency. You may decide you want to have a business selling artificial Christmas trees. Even though selling Christmas trees is a seasonal job, if you sell enough during the season you won’t have to work during the rest of the year. you may even decide that you want to grow real trees and sell them in addition to the artificial Christmas trees. Your work is entirely up to you but the revenues you make and the money needs to contribute to the economy. The government will not approve you if you are not paying taxes and contributing.
While you are waiting to be approved as a citizen of the United States it is important that you are being productive with your life. You need to show the government that you use your time well and you don’t sit around all day and do nothing. Even if you have a lot of money and you can afford to sit around you must hold a job and do something productive with your time.
An honest living is the type of work you must have when you are applying for citizenship. You cannot apply for citizenship and work under the table and not pay taxes. Not only will you get into trouble but you will get the person into trouble that you are working for. If you are selling drugs you cannot tell the government this because it is illegal and illegal behavior will get you kicked out of the states. You must make an honest living and be able to prove to the US how it is that you make your money. This may be through meetings you have with citizenship offices or when you file your taxes.
You must be employed when you are applying for citizenship of the United States. If you want freedom in your job then you can work for yourself and start your own business. This will allow you to work the hours that you want to and basically do as you wish. The money you make from your job must be honestly made and you will have to prove this to the organizations that will approve you. You cannot remain unemployed and wasting time when you are hoping to become a citizen. The only way you would be able to take time off of work is if you are in school full time. You need to prove to the government that you can contribute to the economy in a positive way. They want to see you pay bills and put the revenues you make back into the local economy you are living in.
